The Moon Path android app predicts the path of the moon and the phase it's in. That's already pretty cool actually, but what makes it positively awesome is that it can show you this in augmented reality, displaying you future trajectories while you're looking through your phone! 

You can even take a picture, showing the moon's trajectory in that picture. It will show you moonrise and moonset times and when there will be a full moon - we'll leave it to you to put on some Barry White and go all out romantic.

Of course you can also use this app for something else than just to satisfy some romantic whim. For instance, by using it to predict when the moon will set or rise and where and then taking a great, press photo of the year picture of it. Always wanted to take a picture of the moon as it disappears behind that run down church? Now you don't have to wait hours for it; just use the app to see when the moon will be in the desired spot and there you go. 

It's one of those apps you would have never thought of yourself - or at least we didn't - until it's there. Gotta love that smartphone.
